Window manager vs desktop manager
Hi I've got a little question : how could I use an other window manager instead of sawfish under GNOME?
For example if I want tot test out kahakai as a window manager with GNOME (or an other dm).I download it install it and now?
Must I go in "My desktop preferences" section ?What must I do to switch on a new window manager under a desktop manager in general?

I believe new Gnome versions use Metacity not Sawfish.
Kahakai is a whole Window Manager meaning you can not run Gnome and Kahakai at the same time.
If you want to use kahakai log out from gnome and gdm login screen click on session and select kahakai from the list.

Its impossible.
Though you can use certain aspects. For example you start KDE and then run gnome-panel.. you will have Gnome's panel in KDE yet no other aspects of it. You will start facing problems with things that effect each other...
