Customizing Desktops
Hello Everyone. This is my first time at this site so please bear with me if I put this post in the wrong place. I would like to know how these people with these wild looking desktops are doing that? Is there any site I can go to that will show me how to do this?

If you are using Gnome check out www.gnome-look.org if you are using kde look at www.kde-look.org. If you are using other desktops or WM's check out their respective websites.

You might want to check out programs such as super karamba (for KDE) or the various desklets programs (adesklets, gdesklets). Also look into various window managers (the one in the screenshot is called Fluxbox, very light and fast).
