X windows memory leak?

I believe that I have a memory leak problem. When I start X, it uses only 20 megs of ram and everything is dandy. However, after 5 days, sometimes as little as one, as is happening now, my X starts to use 70 megs of ram. This is obscene. The worst part is, it gets bigger at a constant rate, even if my computer is idle. Eventually, my memory will be used up and I'll have to restart X.
I am running Fedora Core 4 with a 2.6.11 kernal and Xorg 6.8.2. I am useing XFCE 4.
Oh, and speaking of XFCE, I have the same problem with xfce-panel.

I happen this me too... Only on debian. Maybe the problem is that you got to little RAM, and not so big swap space.

Well, I doubt memory is the problem. I have 512 megs of ram and 1024 megs of swap.
As for free:

I was not currently haveing the memory problem when I took this.
Q: How do I make a code box to put this in?

What you think is a memory leak may only be the kernel assigning unused memory for program buffers and HDD cache. The kernel frees buffers and cache RAM dynamically. Monitor free's output over the next few days and analyze the results.

I'm pretty sure it's a memory leak. These programs use more and more memory each day. The individuals processes.
