Does anyone know of a program emulating the behavior of the Mac OS X Dashboard for an X window manager? It has me intrigued... Thanks!...

Looking at Apple's blurb on the matter, Dashboard is just a bunch of widget-ty things. In which case SuperKaramba or gDesklets perform a similar function.

Yes, I considered that, but I really like the concept of raising it all over the current applications with that transparent look. Perhaps I'll just write a simple dashboard application that reflects this behavior using gdesklets and/or karamba...
