xvidtune, need some info
I am running redhat 9 and KDE. When I type xvidtune a small little box comes up with various info relating to my monitors settings. I have a horizontal sync of 79.98 and a vertical sync of 75.02. Does this mean my monitor is running at 75 Hz because I was used to running my monitor at 75 Hz in windows and I believe that is the optimal setting for my monitor. I have a viewsonic q95 19" inch monitor.

Yes, that's correct. An easier way to check is to run xrandr.
