Hi bobsta63,
No posts for months so I know you may have solved your problem or lost interest. But if you are still interested, I'm doing just the same thing. I'm customising DSL to make a thin client to run on old PCs accessing virtual PC's.

Why dont you use http://thinstation.sourceforge.net/ ?
Works perfectly for me and is flexible enough!
