KDE, Firefox and URL Links on Desktop
Hi there,
I have recently decided that KDE is the desktop for me. But there is one feature so far that I cannot get working, and I would like to know if it is possible.
I like to have url links on my desktop. But dragging and dropping the url from firefox's address bar does not seem to do the trick. Is this possible?
Also, note that I want to keep using Firefox, even if Konqueror does have this functionality.
thanks

You can always make a launcher for firefox on the desktop, and provide it the URL as an argument. So when the launcher creation window asks for a command, do this:
Code:firefox <url>
Flies of a particular kind, i.e. time-flies, are fond of an arrow.
