We just got a VPS with Cent OS installed and I was elected as the admin.

couple problems

I can't run yum. Should I be able to? I didn't see it when I did rpm -qa

Also using putty to ssh to the server. Tried running xorg, kde, gnome, and they all look like they are installed but I can't find the executable or anything. Also I guess I need to know how to redirect output back to my computer.

Help?
