When I attempt to log out of KDE, it just keeps returning to the graphical boot (login) screen.
If I "relogin" using root and hit "enter" the screen goes completely ...

KDE Log Out problem
When I attempt to log out of KDE, it just keeps returning to the graphical boot (login) screen.
If I "relogin" using root and hit "enter" the screen goes completely black and locks up. What am I doing incorrect
I'm using Debian Woodyif that helps.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe its because X is set to not be accessed by root user, and also that regular users cant go to console. I have almost the same problem, when I fix the other thousand problems I have, I'll chek that and see if thats that way. Try dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common, and when prompted about user and access to X (if configuring with debconf) answer the least secure option. Hope it helps!
