I'm running Fedora and when I login I get a terminal window a Xclock and a firefox browser automaticly. There is no GUI available....

    Run Level 5 loads as Xterm only


    I'm running Fedora and when I login I get a terminal window a Xclock and a firefox browser automaticly. There is no GUI available.

    You should probably try modifying your .xinitrc file. Try putting either exec gnome-session or exec startkde in there and play around with the GNOME or KDE , or try a lighter-weight environment if that's what you want.
