monitor problems with Fedora 6
Hi,
I have been installing Fedora 6 for a friend but it seems on booting to give no signal that the monitor can handle. At first I thought it was the too-old screen. But when he got a new (albeit trickier) Belinea screen the same problem occurred. But then, Belinea doesnīt look very linux-compatible given that the word linux appears nowhere in their docs or site and that the screen comes with a cd of drivers that only run on Windows.
In trying to find a more suitable screen, the supplier having been talked into changing the screen for any I care to name with possible payment of difference, I come to the catch that I canīt see what monitors are supported by Fedora 6 because I canīt run that first-time session that gives me the list. Searching for that list via Google hasnīt got me anywhere in reasonable time. My own system is also too old to try bringing the screen across to see if that helps him.
Ideas, suggested monitors etc. would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Simon
