Monitor goes on standby
Im a newbie on linux and im just started using them for programming.I just finished the installation part and i tryed to get into suse10.2.While im waiting to get into suse desktop, my monitor turns on standby mode.(i can hear the sound on startup so i presume that the installation gone fine).Monitor works fine when i choose windows.(graphics card:ati radeon 9800xt).any suggestions to fix the problem?

I had this same issue once with Suse 9.3. Honestly, I think its just a Suse issue lol.
