    Help configure xorg.conf

    Hi!

    I'm trying to connect my Sony Vaio TX2 to my 17pf8946/12.

    I have tried with i810swith. It connects but theres lots of flicker on the screen.
    So I tried i855crt instead. But I can't get that to work either.
    When I try i855crt on 1280x768@60 I get this message:
    Intel 855GM CRT out driver V0.4
    Copyright (C) Merello Andrea 2004

    Couldn't find video mode 1280x768@60
    I know that I have to edit my xorg.conf file but I don't know how and hoped one of you could help me with this.

    Here is my xorg.conf as it looks now.

    check Monitor's Manual and note down supported HorizSync, VertiRefresh rates and Resolutions ( modes ).
    execute this code in terminal/konsole
    Code:
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
    select supported resolution and enter supported refresh rates. press Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace or Reboot after writing new xorg.conf file.
