Help configure xorg.conf
Hi!
I'm trying to connect my Sony Vaio TX2 to my 17pf8946/12.
I have tried with i810swith. It connects but theres lots of flicker on the screen.
So I tried i855crt instead. But I can't get that to work either.
When I try i855crt on 1280x768@60 I get this message:
I know that I have to edit my xorg.conf file but I don't know how and hoped one of you could help me with this.Intel 855GM CRT out driver V0.4
Copyright (C) Merello Andrea 2004
Couldn't find video mode 1280x768@60
Here is my xorg.conf as it looks now.
Thanks!

check Monitor's Manual and note down supported HorizSync, VertiRefresh rates and Resolutions ( modes ).
execute this code in terminal/konsole
select supported resolution and enter supported refresh rates. press Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace or Reboot after writing new xorg.conf file.Code:sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
