My Gnome DM is gone
I am new to Linux have Fedora Core 5 with a defaut installation Gnome desktop. Trying to set up a server. Updated some software packages and afterwards rebooted the machine. It reboots to TWM DM with a clock, a terminal screen and Firefox. And cannot find basic things like gedit. When I run
# rpm -qi gnome
gnome is not installed.
I cannot find it with
#find -name gnome* -print
Please how can I find and restore the default Gnome Display manager? was it uninstalled when I installed the c libraries and development applications that were requested when trying to compile Gftp?
Again I am just learning Linux....
