VIA video card problems with Xorg
I hope someone out there can help me, i made a stupid mistake and havent been able to remedy it so far. I recently had some hardware problems with my computer and had to take it in to get fixed. When i got it back, i booted it up and found that my mouse wasn't working I ran dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg to set up y mouse again (i know i should have done it manually in xorg.conf). Well after running dpgk-reconfigure it screwed up my video driver settings. Xorg would no longer boot saying "no screens found". Now i can only get Xorg to run if i set my video driver to "vesa". This works for now but the resolution is terrible. Anyone know how to fix this ? I have tried setting it to a few different video drivers with no luck (including s3, s3savage, via, vga). I have an MSI K9VGM-V motherboard with a K8M890CE VIA graphic chip. (i am running Debian with xorg and kde 3.5) any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
