file browser on gnome that's as good as konqueror?
I've just reinstalled my system and have got gnome, but the file browser that comes with it is nautilus and is imho vastly inferior to konqueror - is there any way of getting konqueror to work on gnome or is there one equally as good?

you have to install whole kde-base for konqueror. you can make nautilus to behave like konqueror. check its settings in Menu. turn off most annoying (IMHO) "open folder in seperate window" option.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

View --> tick 'Side Pane'. click on Places Icon on side pane and select 'Tree View'.
