    can't get beryl to work

    hi
    i have ubuntu 6.10 installed on my gateway mx6454 notebook. the notebook has an ati xpress m200 (gateway says it's xpress 1150)

    i need help installing beryl. can someone please walk me through the process?

    have you got the proprietary ati drivers installed?
    Gentoo 2.6.24 amd64
    AMD Anthlon 64 X2, 2 GB RAM, Asus M2N-MX, nVidia GeForce 9600GT 512Mb, 250Gb + 160Gb HDDs
