changing desktop environment
i'm currently running ubuntu (obviously using gnome). But i was wondering if there was any way to change my desktop environment without reinstalling the operating system. I've been looking into Xfce and am interested in trying it out (but not if i have to reinstall my OS).

you can install any desktop environment through Synaptic. search 'kubuntu-desktop' for KDE and 'xubuntu-desktop' for xfce in Synaptic. no need to re-install.
