XWindows Resolution issue - Refresh rate out of range
Hi Everyone,
When trying to run Xwindows for the first time on a new install of Suse 10.0 using Gnome, I am having a resolution problem with a new WSXGA monitor (Screen goes black, then an Out of range error).
I have checked my xorg.conf file to ensure the refresh rate and resolution settings are accurate. Is there any other method to modify XWindows display settings from the command line that would help?
My monitor's manual specifies that the Out of Range error occurs only when the refresh rate exceeds 75Hz
Relevant System Information
Monitor - SPECTRE X20WG-Naga 20"
supports almost all resolutions 640*480 -> 1680*1050
refresh rates: 60-75Hz
Graphics Card - ATI X600 All-in-Wonder
Thanks in advance
