    restart x windows

    Really simple question.

    running RH8. Can I restart X from a terminal?

    When adjusting display settings it wants me to logout and restart x.

    But when I logout to my graphical RH login screen there is no option to restart X.

    ctrl+alt+backspace should kill the x server. and then type 'startx' to start it again.
