Hi, new to linux, using an acer aspire a110, linpus lite, I've configured gnome ppp to run my 3 network broadband dongle thanks to the kind help of users of this forum. Just a quick question, does anyone know if its possible to create a shortcut to gnome ppp on the home page so i dont have to right click & select it from the menu?

Yes, you should be able to right-click on the desktop to create an icon and launcher for it. Just use the same command that is used in the apps menu to launch it.
hi oz, thanks for your response to my question, sorry but its still way above my head! i looked in the right click menu on the desktop but couldn't figure out what you meant ;-)
could you talk me thru it step by step please? sorry to be a pain!
I'm not in Gnome right now so can't check this but I think you can also add it by going to the applications menu, finding the program you want on the desktop, right-clicking on the program title, then selecting "add launcher to desktop", or it's something close to that.
If that doesn't work, I'll post the steps to do it the other way the next time I'm back on my Gnome box.
