i didn't understood much about PXE, but i read some stuffs about VDI (blogs.technet.com/b/deploymentguys/archive/2008/09/01/virtual-desktop-infrastructure-vdi.aspx) which seems relevant to our work, but i don't know it will work in linux(ubuntu) system or not and how to implement these stuffs.
LINUXFORUM is not allowing me to post the link so please copy it to web browser..
VDI has little to do with PXE. A virtual desktop infrastructure allows you to have a client that is viewing a Linux desktop that actually resides on a remote server. PXE allows any system, physical or virtual, to boot from a network operating system image. It doesn't have to be Linux. It can be Linux, Windows, Solaris, or whatever is compatible with your hardware.
