Need help improving visual quality
Currently I am running KDE.
I have truetype fonts installed, but many items appear fuzzy/slightly out of focus, even the truetype fonts.
I have an LCD whose native resolution is 1280x1024. I used fglrx (kinda like xfree86, but for radeon drivers) to configure the display. I plugged in the appropriate frequencies listed in the manual that came with my monitor, and the display fits perfectly with 1280 x 1024 resolution. I suspect some of the visual problems may be from its refresh rate, which is SUPPOSED to be 60Hz. However, X windows says it is running at 75 Hz. The monitor can handle this, but I believe it would look better if I could change the refresh rate to 60 Hz while leaving the rest the same.
Any idea how to do this?
