Recent Gnome Update Problems :S
Hi guys,
Well when I thought it was all over, Gnome decided to have itself a little update. When I booted up, the gnome splash was no longer my custom splash. Of course, I could always put it back to normal. But that isn't the problem.
95% of the time when I start up Ubuntu, my toolbars don't appear. I log out and in and they are there, but then It crashes. This only happened after the Gnome update. Sometimes, my desktop doesn't appear either. I've had to make a shortcut to terminal and run everything from there. No menus, also mean that I am constantly using Alt+Tab to switch windows, which can get a little annoying...
I'm going to try to update and upgrade my system, to see if there are any fixes on Gnome's new update.
If you want to know Aptitude's code for system update/upgrade here it is... If i can remember correctly:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
Code:
sudo apt-get upgrade
