several occurences of same process

I am trying to stop my computer freezing. there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. I type ps -e to see which processes are running. When I look at the processes running I get kdeinit about 14 times. Is this normal. There are also other processes that are repeated

That is normal and does not have to be the cause of your system freezing.
