SUSE w/ ATi chipset
Hello all...I recently installed SUSE 9.2 over FTP and am having a difficult time with configuring it. I have a Compaq Proliant DL380 and it has a pretty crappy ATi chipset (Rage II Mach64). Anyway, the main problem is that every time I use Yast to make a change to my configuration, it messes up my Xorg configuration file and forces me to regenerate it. I finally figured out how to do that by finding a couple of postings (even on these forums) but it can be a real pain. Does anyone know why Yast would be creating errors in my Xorg config syntax? I have not yet updated my system using YOU, due to server unavailability, but I'm wondering if an update to Yast would resolve this problem. Anyone else have some input or experience with this?
