Where is Xorg R7.0 Monolith Tarball?

On December 21, 2005, X.Org had announced new X11 R7.0 Graphics environment, the first major release in 10 years.

Unfortunately there is no official monolith (all in one) tarball of this release on their official FTP site:

ftp://ftp.freedesktop.org/pub/xorg/X11R7.0/src

The only way to build X11 R7.0 from scratch is downloading 287 packages and compile, install it one by one.

The available tarball on the FTP server is the old R6.8 version.

Where is the official source tarball of Xorg R7.0?

X.org 7.0 is the same thing as 6.9 except that it is modular instead of monolithic, so by definition it comes in many separate parts.

There is no tarball, Xorg is modular now, and those 280 odd packages is the way it's done now. I've already compiled and use it, I got it down to about 140 packages as an essential core for it to work properly.
If you're put off with the prospect of compiling it, then you'll probably have to wait around until whatever distro you use decides to make a package.
