Hello everyone,
I don't know if any of you have tried this out, but I've been messing around with Xorg transparency using xcompmgr and transset on Fluxbox. It works pretty smoothly, but there's a problem: Only one window will display at a time. As soon as I change focus to a different window, the one that had focus will disappear. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

I'm not sure about you exact problem, but do you have the correct drivers, are they working, etc? Here's a great how-to for Gentoo, though I don't know how much of this applies in other distros (most of it, I guess, just ignore the 'emerge blabla' commands as they are gentoo-specific):

That's the exact tutorial I used. It works fine with other window managers, but seeing as how Fluxbox is my favorite and what I use most of the time, I'd like it to work on that.
If you are doing this in Gentoo, maybe you could try re-emerging fluxbox?
