XServer resolution messed up
I'm running openSUSE 10.2 and I have a Sony Vaio laptop. I destroyed my Xorg.conf file earlier today while i was messing around with the Display settings on my normal user account somehow. I enabled some of the desktop effects and next thing I know, my screen is completely white and my xorg is gone.
I managed to use sax ,and I got back to an xterm, but my resolution is completely out of whack. I tried going to display settings, but my monitor is no longer identified, so I can't edit anything.
I can access everything right now, but I need to get my monitor identified again, and fix my resolution then I should be fine. Right now it's at 800X600 resolution I think. It's stupid big.
What do I need to do? I have no idea how to edit Xorg.conf or anything like that. Is there something I can reinstall, or any program I can run?
