How do I enable the templates in geany such that the user can select from the standard template files? The following source lists the path to the templates under Linux: Geany
What is needed is the same for FreeBSD, which has no directory ~/.config/geany/templates. I created one and placed the templates in it, but the templates are still not visible from within geany.
Solution: restart geany
