    X Server in FreeBsd 5.3


    Greetings from Colombia, I have recently installed freebsd 5.3 , when i run X server this doesnīt work, it send me an error(I have a S3 Prosavage DDR)

    What is ur mouse? How u configure it? I think that's the main problem for instance.
    To reconfigure it without reconfigure all X (which is pain in the ass) use sysinstall.
    Not very difficult: in root u type /stand/sysinstall and then u've got a menu with mouse on it and here u can reconfigure ur mouse easily

    you don't need to run sysinstall to reconfigure X. and FreeBSD 5.3 uses xorg, not xfree or whatever it's called. so run xorgcfg or xorgconfig to reconfigure X. that should work. oh, and make sure you're familiar with all of you hardware before you go through with the configuration.
