    Solaris NVIDIA Driver Problems

I recently reformatted my hard drive and decieded to triple boot Linux, solaris & windows as i was unable to in my previous set-up. But i have run into one major problem.

Oracle Solaris 11 has installed correctly and will boot into the graphical interface fine, but when i enable the nvidia driver, using the following:

    sudo nvidia-xconfig
Solaris will no longer boot properly and instead goes into console after about a 10min wait. I found that it is the nvidia driver from trying to startx from console. The problem is i am unsure how to fix this problem as the driver is the NVIDIA driver that was pre-installed with Oracle Solaris 11.

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
Have you tried installing the nvidia proprietary drivers instead of the Oracle-supplied ones? You can download them from the nvidia web site - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies | NVIDIA. I just checked and they have the Solaris x86 drivers there, and it is the latest/greatest one.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
