Can't Delete Files in /usr/share/file/magic Directory

Hi, I have a vmware directory under /usr/share/file/magic directory on my Mac that I can't delete even as root. The permission is

    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 284 Aug 22 17:39 vmware. Got the error:

    rm: vmware: Operation not permitted

    Please help.

You can't delete a directory that contains files by using just rm. You need to use rm -R.

Clarification, I used rm -rf on the directory. It gave me that error message.
