Re: iso file install???
If you want to install, don't just copy over the files to a CD; You must burn from image to include MBR on the CD, eventual partitions etc, how to depends what program you use to burn... If you have done this, make sure your BIOS supports booting from a CD.

image file burn?
read in book or manual or forum somewhere that NERO should do this for me.
what i did next was boot from my 5.0 cd and stop it at the promt, put in iso disc it read it started part, disklabel for slice then said can't find etc... and quit reading.
burning with NERO on windows box.
found the section of NERO that unpacks and burns bootable disc from iso's
thank's fer hitting me upside the head to look harder at program!!!!

Basically, this command will create a ~/.xinitrc file if it doesn't already exist, and puts "gnome-session" in the file. If the file already exists, it will be replaced. gnome-session is the binary that must be run to start GNOME. But it must be run through startx, which will start the X server. startx reads from ~/.xinitrc first.
