KDE working.. Prefer Gnome
I like using Gnome over KDE, but when I put the % echo "/usr/X11R6/bin/gnome-session" > ~/.xinitrc command in .xinitrc it won't load. It took a while messing with the command to get KDE to load and i got it down to exec startkde before KDE actually started.. Anyone know the command for gnome? I tried a bunch of different things, but it still won't load.
Thanks again

does /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome-session actually exist??
your gnome install may not have completely properly
show the output of
cat ~/.xinitrc
also show error messages (if any) when you type 'startx'
