I think NetBSD, thats the one that i have a tried and liked, i think its also one of the easier 'BSDs -mechmaster...

    I agree, it's a breeze to install too.

    Unfortunatley, my ethernet card is unsupported.

    I would have to go with FreeBSD.

    That is also a totally biased, and I do reccomend trying them all.

    never tried a bsd, but i tried soloaris, my uncle gave me a old comp wit a old SPARC in it and it was awsome, but when i tried on my p4 it was really slow...

    I don't know if this is still the case, but Solaris has notoriously had much better performance on Sun hardware than on X86.
