I would have to go with FreeBSD.
That is also a totally biased, and I do reccomend trying them all.

never tried a bsd, but i tried soloaris, my uncle gave me a old comp wit a old SPARC in it and it was awsome, but when i tried on my p4 it was really slow...
- 08-12-2005 #15I don't know if this is still the case, but Solaris has notoriously had much better performance on Sun hardware than on X86.
