    Problems with giFT

I downloaded giFT and configured it, got the Gnutella plugin for it. I type giftd to run it at a terminal, it acts like it opens it, but I see nothing on the screen.. I've not really used any other p2p program besides Limewire before, esp. w/ BSD, so I'm kind of at a loss here.. Anyone?

giftd is a daemon.. you have to install a user interface for it... i recommend giFTcurs because it's simple with a small memory footprint (it's curses-based and therefore runs in console)

you should actually start giftd in the background (i.e. giftd& ) and then start your UI

Check the gift website, they have links to a few different front ends. giFToxic is what I am using.
