Same here, I don't use X much on my BSD machine. I mostly use it for Emacs in console mode, no mouse. I only want to boot X once in a while to listen to MP3's and practice using the GUI version of Emacs.

1. It's not GUI in the UNIX world, it's window manager/desktop enviroment.
