i know its kinda out of sorts, but here goes.
I cant understand why all the web browsers on this mac i am using dont seem to support php. i can run "php -f" to parse a file, but if i try to open the file in safari or firefox, i get nothing. "php -f" gives me the right output, so i cant understand what is wrong.

This makes no sense. PHP is a completely server-side technology (it is run by the web server) and has absolutely nothing to do with web browsers.
