Hi nader_me,

I have a nice document that you should read (I've just started Linux as well but I've got lots of coursework to do so I'v had to stop it for a while). The link is:

http://www.tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/intro-linux.pdf

Yea, give BSD a try although my plan is to get proficient at Linux in gerneral before I modify kernel code.

Tim

Hi Tim, he/she wants the source code of the *BSD not Linux. I can help you but I need more specific info.
If you are new to open source, Linux is usually friendlier. You can get a full kernel tarball here www.kernel.org and the source code of some popular open source programs like (download the tarballs, not the binaries)
Postfix http://www.postfix.org/
Apache http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi
Squid http://www.squid-cache.org/
VSFTPD http://vsftpd.beasts.org/

Extract it and browse the newly created dir

Hi Juan,

I just posted that link for general information. I take it that nader_me send you a private message?
