Could we have a "watch" button

Hi,

I've often wondered this. Sometimes I see a thread and I think to myself "Ah, this is interesting. I'd like to follow this to find out what happens." But then I lose it, or forget about it. I'd be so nice if there was a "Watch this thread" button so that we could follow threads that interest us but that we don't feel we have anything to add. I often wish I could do that, as I often don't have the ability to help people but I'd like to know how they're doing.

Isn't that what "Subscribe to this Thread" does? I don't use it, I'm actually asking.

Well there might be something similar that might help...if you go to Thread Tools there is a 'Subscribe to this Thread' option which will make it show up in your Control Panel, and if the option is set will email you when it is updated. Is that anything close to what you are looking for?

Ah, yes, I think that's it. So by pressing this I can follow the thread without actually having to say anything. Is this so?

PS - I'd never noticed that bar before. Maybe it could be made a little bigger, or perhaps change the colour to make it stand out? Dunno...but then I often miss things. I'm not very observant.

Yes. I subscribed to a few interesting threads in which I didn't post a single post. I had to unsubscribe a few boring threads too.
