I also use Virgin Media, but with openDNS and I've never had any serious problems accessing Linuxforums. At work, its a completely different issue, many sites (including Linuxforums) don't seem to load or are very slow. I suspect its a DNS or firewall related issue. I can't moan at the IT guys because we are only supposed to use the computers for work related issues.

I get a little irritated at times with the OpenDNS servers because they sometimes hijack my google searches and take me to a yahoo search page.

I'm getting very poor response from Linuxforums.org. And again, only this site is affected. It is so weird

It always costed up to 10 seconds to load a page. But since yesterday it takes between 10 and 60 seconds to load a page. I have no idea why. Because I couldn't reach LFo before I had switched to OpenDNS. This cured that problem, but left me with this poor response.
I tried traceroute because I try to rule out it's not a blockade targeted at me personally
But it seems the problem is not on this site, because the gateway that stalls the signal all that time only gives asterixs in the output and not feedback. From the man page I understand that only God knows what's wrong with gateways that give asterixs, so I may be under surveillance by Echelon for all I know. Really, because I get fine response when I'm at a machine from work or friends.
What should I do??
OK, I was kidding about Echelon. But views take ages. Oh, and I noticed the new sidebars. Nice! I like having a navigation bar at the side. It does screw the layout a bit because it doesn't resize ver well in a window, but I like it because it pushes the adds of the screen

We had some issues today that should be resolved. If you continue to receive poor performance, please respond here. We're looking at our architecture and identifying ways we can speed this up. 10 seconds per page load isn't fun.
