Would it be possible to make the smiley replacement dependent on a word boundary? That way things like about
lugins (about: plugins) wouldn't be affected

Users can also select the "Disable Smilies in Text" checkbox in Miscellaneous Options to stop their text from being turned into accidental smilies.

Disable Smiles in Text one of the option available in Advanced Text Editor.
Click on Go Advanced Button below Quick Reply.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

It's also available in the various options whenever you use the Reply to Thread button.
Look below the message text box under Additional Options / Miscellaneous Options / Disable smilies in textoz

LOL skype always catches me with the smileys thing too. I often use :o) as a smiley face in text, but it changes to
) LOL At least here on the forum :o) stays as is!
