Checking leojreimroc's post.

I'm having problems mounting DVDRs into my dvd drive. I can mount CDRs no problem, if they contain both data or music. DVDs with data doesn't want to mount. Here is the error I get while trying to mount it.
joelcormier@ubuntu:/$ sudo mount /dev/sr0 /mnt
mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
Reading some other threads, I found that most people were asking for sudo lshw -C disk, so I'll post it here.
joelcormier@ubuntu:~$ sudo lshw -C disk

I'm afraid I don't know. I'm pretty sure that's the post I had at the time, as I copy/pasted it. Who knows....

For the sake of clarity, I just ran some tests as a new user and found the following to hold true regarding posting web links and email addresses:
Will post:
google.com
Will not post:
test@google.com
www.google.com
http://www.google.comoz
→ new users: read this first
→ no private messages requesting computer support - post them on the forums!

Just out of curiosity, is a new member able to parse the text in [CODE] tags and post? The reason I'm asking is because much of the time the errors that are reported include URL's to repositories.

You're right, Mike. I just tried it with a little test account. No go, even with tags.
Cool... just wondering.Jay

I have the same problem and it's pissing me off, as I don't have URL's, at first I had a screenshot but then I removed that link and still it said there was a URL in my post, so I replaced al the dots with [dot] and the @'s with [at] but didn't help.
This is very annoying and will cause people to spam to get their 15 posts.
