Are there any specific, detailed guidelines for acceptable avatars?

The forum rules cover some aspects of avatar usage on the forums while the size limits are indicated on the edit avatar screen/section in your user control panel.

I thought I posted this in the Coffee Lounge, but wasn't sure where to post it. I was really only worried about horror avatars, because I was going to avoid obscene avatars and don't want sexually-oriented avatars anyways. I assumed it wasn't a big deal, mostly because of Elija's avatar. I did read the rules, but thought maybe what fell under distracting, etc. was more specific maybe.
