    [SOLVED] Slow page loading lately

    For a little while now I've noticed page loading here on LFo takes longer than usual. Every page seems to hang for about ten seconds, sometimes even more. Firefox tells me it's waiting for openx.linuxforums.org. This is the same from home or from work.

    I don't really know when this started, but a couple of weeks back LFo was a lot quicker.

    Obviously I don't know if I'm the only one. But I haven't changed DNS or changed much on my configuration. Other sites load as fast or as slow as they normally do

    I've not experienced it myself, but if you are seeing that, there are probably others getting the same behavior, so we'll look into it.

    Pages are loading very slowly. openx.linuxforums.org is taking most of the time.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    It's only happened a couple of times, but over the last few days I've had a bit of a slow down on loading speed here... but only at work where I'm on a Mac.
    Home connection on my Linux box has no problems.

    Clearing cookies one at a time has helped me narrow it down to 2 possible culprits, but even then it's intermittent.

    Second attempt... 2 hours to get to this page first time, then the posting never got uploaded... another 2 hours to get here again.

    Major problem with the forum, as posted above -
    the main problem seems to be
    (openx-linuxforums-org)
    but sometimes the load stops at
    (spe-atdmt-com)
    other times it just stops at
    ("waiting for www-linuxforums-org")

    It isn't just this page, I can't get onto the forum at all

    If this post doesn't make it... I'm giving up... another 2 hours would "do my head in"

    1:03:55 fom logon to this reply box to be fully loaded. Over one minute each time a page is changed.

    Could it be too many advertisements, something else, a combination of many things?

    Neve have I seen it so slow!
