LF advertiser spams my cell phone

I came by Linux Forums today, got a pop-up saying I won a Best Buy gift card, I entered my cell phone # for verification (hey, this is LF, the advertiser ought to be legit, I thought...) - and pronto,! My cell phone is being spammed with messages at the rate of 1 message / minute now.

I can't even block messages on this cell, it's the public line for the company I work for. Uggh...

Sorry that you are experiencing this issue, but you'll need to contact the site owners for any help or info regarding any ads running on the website because neither I nor any of the other board admins have any control or the ability to do anything with them.

You can use the contact us link in the lower corner of this page and others on the site to contact them directly.

Phew... the spams stopped after the first dozen. (It seems.)
Let's hope it stays at that.
