Meme thread in the coffee lounge?

How about starting a yearly internet meme thread?

I realize some might consider that as part of the jokes thread, but in looking at that thread, it's clear that there is a definite distinction between jokes and memes, despite both being considered humor.

    Just a thought.

This search here revealed that this hasn't been suggested before.

Most of the "yearly" threads were started by a member who thought it was a good idea. They became yearly threads as they outgrew sensible limits for threads and posts over the course of the year. If you have a few memes you want to throw out there to get the ball rolling then go for it...
