    Linuxforums.org is Dying.

it was offline for the past 3 days or so; judging from the timestamps of new posts it was for everyone.
this has happened before, though never so long.

i'm telling you, this site will be offline for good some time soon.

    call me prophetic.

Happened to FreeBSD forums, several forums disappeared. One was killed by spam. The current one has been up since 2008, seems it will stay up.

The real news says everything you write on the Interwebzes stays there FOREVER! The real news wouldn't lie to me.

Phoronix and LQ are slow too. Tom's Hardware seems to be doing OK though. Maybe it's Linux that's dying. :hmm:

I deserted for LQ some time ago and only visit here now and again. Which is a pity because it used to be my first choice. But apart from a few it now seems unhelpful and vitriolic.
    Such a shame!

Wrong! You don't know my username.

And you waste a lot of your time on useless research.

Wait, do you mean in spirit or ito the hardware? I'm not on as often as you, so I've never noticed down-time. Interestingly, that does make me wonder now who hosts the site? I've never actually gone to look!

when i started this thread, it was the second time my browser refused to connect to this server in about a couple of months.
a few hours are normal imo, but it went on for 3 days.
