linuxforums.org pages not fully rendering
Maybe this issue has already been addressed in the past, but:
Both when viewing message threads and viewing posts since last visit the linuxforums.org pages do not fully render about half the time. What I mean is half the page will render and be displayed in the browser, and even though the http session is "Done" according to the browser, the other half of the page is missing.
Normally reloading the page once (or several times) corrects the problem. Yes, I've tried dumping cache and history to see if it would go away; it still appears sporadically.
I view this forum on
- Firefox 1.0.4 for SuSE 9.1.
- Firefox 1.0.4 for Win XP SP2.
Just fyi..

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I'll keep an eye out.
*Firefox 1.0.4 on Windows XP SP2 (what I view in at work)
*Firefox 1.0.4 on Macintosh OS X (home 1)
*Firefox 1.0.4 on SuSE Linux 9.3 (home 2)Registered Linux user #270181

Yeah, I run into some weird quirks on these forums, too, some of which I've posted about in the past.
While I haven't run into the 1/2 page rendering problem I do quite often get the hour glass showing that a new page is loading after clicking a link but the forum stays on the page it was on originally, and the "done" indicator pops up at the bottom of the browser indicating that the new page has loaded.
Sometimes, this happens when I'm making a response to a post. The page stays the same, but if I kill the browser and then come back to the thread, my post shows as having gone through even though I was left on the "respond to post" page with the "done" indicator showing.
Strange stuff for sure... time for new BBS software?
